Character Elective
In this three-week improv class, we will explore using physicality, voice, and point-of-view to create characters that move beyond cliche or stereotype and have a unique life of their own. Playing a character in an improv scene can allow you to be more free and inspired in your choices and to help to get you out of your head.

Emotion Elective
In this three-week improv class, we will work on ways to use emotion to deepen your improv scenes. We will focus on conveying a range of emotion, responding through an emotion, and using emotion to identify what’s important in the scene.

Environment Elective
In this three-week improv class, we will explore ways to activate a mimed/imagined environment to help fill out the world of your scenes and to inspire your choices and discoveries. Oftentimes we find ourselves simply speaking back and forth like talking heads; there’s an entire environment to be discovered! You can pull anything out of thin air!
